Privacy Policy
The short version: we do not save any data from you.
Not your conversations, not your messages, not anything you type —
nothing is stored on our side. TalkWing reads only the specific
conversation you ask it to help with, never your whole screen, never
in the background, and processes it solely to generate your
suggestions.
What TalkWing does
TalkWing is a conversation assistant — a keyboard, a mobile app and a
browser extension — that suggests replies for the conversation you are
actively writing in. Privacy is a design principle of the product, not
an afterthought.
What we read, and when

Only on your action. Nothing is read at all until
you press the TalkWing button and ask for suggestions.

Only the relevant conversation. Reads are scoped to
the one chat or comment thread containing the message box you
clicked, limited to its recent messages. We never read the rest of
the page, your feed, other conversations, other tabs, or your
browsing history, and we never scroll a page to load older messages.

On-device where possible. On the keyboard, a
screenshot you supply is turned into text on your own device. The
image itself is not sent to us.

What you volunteer. Your typed or dictated thoughts
and goals, and pasted conversations. Voice dictation uses your
device's built-in speech recognition; we do not receive your audio.
What we send
When you request suggestions, TalkWing sends the scoped conversation
excerpt, the platform name (for example "instagram"), anything you
typed or dictated yourself, and — for Premium users — the file name
and caption of an attached image (never the image file itself) to the
TalkWing API (api.talkwing.co), solely to generate your reply
suggestions. It is processed to produce your suggestions and is not
saved. Nothing is sent in the background or without your explicit
action.
What we store

On our side: nothing. We do not save your
conversations, your requests, or anything else from you.

On your device: your recent sessions live in the
app's or extension's private session storage, so your panel survives
a refresh. In the browser these are deleted automatically when you
close it, and are never readable by the websites you visit. Your
settings (API address, theme, saved writing style) are stored
locally on your device.

We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising
identifiers.
What we never do

No selling or sharing your data with third parties. No advertising
use.

No passive or background reading; no whole-screen capture; no
reading your clipboard.

No identifying, classifying, or profiling the people you talk with
(no inferring sensitive attributes such as gender).
- No collecting data when you are not actively using the product.
Your choices

Remove the extension or delete the app at any time — this
permanently deletes all TalkWing data stored on
your device (your sessions, settings, and saved writing style). It
does not affect your browser's own data or the websites you use.

There is nothing to delete on our side, because we save nothing.
Children
TalkWing is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly
collect data from minors.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
Material changes will be highlighted in the product.
